Morning Meadow Table Runner

Hey, hey! It’s Sarah of Sarah Jean Makes here to show you a recent quick finish of mine. I have been on a Half Square Triangle (HST) kick in the last month. There’s something just so satisfying about the process that I haven’t been able to shake out of my system. I was lucky to have the chance to work with these gorgeous floral prints in the Morning Meadow collection by Lila Tueller. The collection is fully of rich color, high contrast, and watercolor-like floral design. They are perfect for a spring-time project!

I opted to make a LOT of HSTs using the eight-at-a-time method. This helped make everything go so quickly and consistently. The HSTs in this table runner come out to three inches finished, so many were needed!

I paired light background fabrics against a dark background fabrics, with the Roses prints in Night and White together and the Flower Field in White against Flower Bunches in Night. I had a hard time deciding which combination was my favorite, so I threw caution to the wind and decided to make it a double sided table runner! This way, I can enjoy both combinations! Also, if one side gets dirty, I can just flip it over! (A clever hack for busy parents with young kiddos at home!)

The runner is bound with the Tonal Stripe basic in Teal. It is the perfect compliment to the bold colors from this collection.

Thank you so much for checking out my recent creation. If you’d like to see more of what I do, check out my website at www.sarahjeanmakes.com or follow me on Instagram @SarahJeanMakes.
