A Wintry Quilt with Hush Hush 4 and Bee Cross Stitch

Hey there! It’s Lesley from Piece and Quilted Studio, and I’m excited to share a quick post about this cozy Wintry quilt I made using the Hush Hush 4 low-volume collection from RBD. Hush Hush is a fabric line designed by several talented RBD designers, and each piece is a soft delight that’s perfect for any sewing project. These low-volume fabrics celebrate delicate beauty and whimsy with a touch of nostalgia.

I’ve always been a fan of the Bee Cross Stitch Basics line, and I couldn’t wait to pair these colors with the Hush Hush low volumes. I’ve had this Wintry Quilt Pattern from Prairie Quilt Co. on my mind for a while, and I was excited to finally bring it to life with these fabrics! As always, Amanda from Prairie Quilt Co. knocked it out of the park with this pattern. It’s easy to follow and uses strip piecing for a block-based design that creates these “wintry” geometric snowflakes. For each block, I paired the following low volumes with each Bee Cross Stitch basic:
- Berry Sweet by Tasha Noel with Bee Cross Stitch Plum
- Twinkle Time by Fran Gulick with Bee Cross Stitch Taffy
- Book Club by Melissa Mortenson with Bee Cross Stitch Butterscotch
- Wink Wink by Karen Walker with Bee Cross Stitch Daisy
- Branch Out by Amy Smart with Bee Cross Stitch Riley Teal
- Seeing Stars by Amber Johnson with Bee Cross Stitch Cottage
