Oh, there you are, Peter!
This is an unforgettable moment in Robin Williams’ Peter Pan. When Pockets finally finds the Peter who remembers his childhood and his magical origins. As adults, it’s easy to get stuck in “Adult-land”. To forget you actually have an imagination! Jill Howarth’s Forever Neverland gives the gentlest push you need to remember your happy childhood.

With mermaids, delicate flowers, magical waters and starry skies this collection has it all! Offering ample opportunities for fussing cutting this collection is a crowd pleaser indeed.
I decided to make the Forever Neverland Panel Quilt from Riley Blake Designs. This pattern utilizes the Panel in the Forever Neverland collection and it’s a darling little panel! Oh! And the quilt pattern is FREE!

This was my first time ever using a panel so I was a bit nervous going into it. But, turns out there isn’t anything scary at all! Using the panel actually helps the quilt come together very quickly (because it takes up so much space!). And remember the fussy cutting I mentioned earlier? Oh yea, I totally did that!

The hardest part about fussy cutting images for this quilt is trying to select ONLY 14 images for the surrounding stars! Again, there are numerous options for fussy cutting so it might even be worth making two quilts so you can fussy cut more designs!
And the panel itself has so many focal points it is easy to forget it’s a panel! From Wendy flying in the sky to Caption Hook on his boat and down to the mermaids in the water, this panel really brings the collection together.

This came together pretty quickly and then it was time to do the quilting. The quilting is almost just as important as the collection itself as the quilting can really bring a quilt together. Because Neverland is a dream like place, somewhere in the sky, I went with Interstellar Lite from Urban Elementz. This pattern has stars whips that make me think of pixie dust!

For the back of the quilt, I selected Bee Ginghams Debbie Sea Glass. This is a beautiful fabric by itself but when paired with the dark binding from the quilt pattern, it just really pops!

You’ll love creating something beautiful with this nostalgia-like collection and if you believe, you just might discover a little bit a magic as well.
