Sunsetridge in Half Square Triangles

Hey, hey! It’s Sarah of Sarah Jean Makes! I had the pleasure of working with the newest collection by Minki Kim, Sunsetridge. The fabrics in this collection are sweet and simple, reminiscent of a vintage quilt you’d find in a cottage style antiques shop. The sweet florals and cute cross stitch design are just modernized enough in color palette to spring it forward into the current era of quilting.

I knew I wanted to showcase these fabrics against a solid background so the color palette could play across the quilt and the fabrics could be highlighted. I decided to keep it simple and use my favorite classic quilt block, the Half Square Triangle.

These triangles, measured at a finished 6 inches, are so easy to make and provide such an impactful finish. I chose to use the eight-at-a-time method and it breezed together so easily.

Thanks for checking out my most recent make! Share with me in the comments your favorite classic quilt block to make. I’d love to hear all about it!
