I’ve used flannel as backing for my quilts countless times, but never for the whole quilt top. One important tip I’ve been given when sewing with flannel is to pre-wash it to prevent shrinkage. Other than that, there’s nothing standing between you and the softness of this quilt we’re about to make.

Since flannel can stretch easily, I wanted to keep things simple and avoid any intricate piecing. That’s when the idea for the pathway to frame the panel came to me. It felt like the perfect way to showcase the design without overcomplicating it. Honestly, when I saw the little house block, I knew it was the perfect companion for this collection. It brings everything together so beautifully.
