You and Me and a Gingham Quilt

Hey there, it’s Lesley from Piece and Quilted Studio, and I am back with another very cute, and very quick quilty make! This was a snow shoot, and these pictures do not do the deep freeze we are currently in, justice! I think our temps here in Manitoba, Canada got to -40 with the wind chill this week! (That’s in celcius!!) Good thing we have lots of cozy quilts to keep us warm. For this quilt I used some of the prints from Sandy Gervais’s collection called, You and Me. It has romantic hearts, pretty florals, and coordinating plaids!

When looking for a quick and easy quilt pattern, I came across this blog post from Diary of a Quilter, Amy Smart. She had a guest post from Quilter’s Candy and a link to a free pattern called Gingham Quilt Pattern (It really was that simple!). I loved the idea of the reds and aquas opposite each other in Gingham, therefore, this You and Me quilt was born!

Fabrics used in the gingham squares are:
- Aqua Hearts Grid
- Aqua Plaid
- Red Dots
- Red Hearts Grid
- Texture Glacier (basics)
Fabrics used in the binding and backing:
- Pink Dots (binding)
- Pink Loves me (binding)
- Texture Glacier (basics)

Happy Sewing!
