What You’ll Need

Here’s a quick rundown of the fabric requirements for the Heartstrings collection:

Small (6”): Great for scraps.
Medium (12”): Fat quarters or larger scraps.
Large (18”): Fat quarters or larger scraps.
Mini Quilt: In addition to the blocks and sashing requirements, you need yardage for backing fabric, batting, and fabric for a 2.5” wide binding.

The Heartstrings Mini Quilt is the perfect weekend project to elevate your quilting skills while creating something beautiful. This compact quilt uses four 12” blocks arranged in a classic layout. For my sample, I added a simple border to make my hearts stand out!

The hearts, binding, and backing are from Riley Blake Designs My Valentine collection. I used a rolie polie from the collection to simplify cutting the squares for the heart. But this project is also ideal for using up scraps!
