Besties at Alamo Square -

Hey, hey! It’s Sarah of Sarah Jean Makes and I’m excited to show you a different version of my newest quilt design, Alamo Square!

The pattern was originally designed to accommodate precut 10″ stackers, but when I saw the Besties collection come through the Riley Blake storyboards, I just knew it would be so fun in this design. I created a bonus three color option for the pattern (who doesn’t love a pattern with options?!), and it came together beautifully.

The Main Floral print in the Pink colorway served as the background fabric. Because this print is so full of energy, I wanted to supplement the other two fabrics with a more subtle print. I used the Beads and Flowers prints in the Vanilla colorway, both are perfect blenders that gave a perfect contrast to the Main Floral print.

I am so in love with the whole vibe of the quilt. The retro flair of the prints really matched with the modern traditional design of the quilt. I am now going to get it quilted and gift it to my daughter for her birthday! Check out my social media for more photos as I complete the process!
