Between the Pages “Learn & Grow” Banner

Do you have a favorite fabric collection? Like most quilters, there are fabric collections that make my heart flutter and bring me instant joy by looking at the prints and colors. The Between the Pages collection by Fran Gulick, is definitely one of those collections for me. It was love at first site. The florals with subtle text and prints with motifs of books, stars, ditsy flowers and envelopes sealed with hearts made this one of my all time favorite collections.

This set of fabrics are so cute, I wanted to create something that inspired others as much as it inspired me. Keeping the book theme in mind, I created a banner which reads “LEARN & GROW” using the letter patterns from Lori Holt’s “Spelling Bee” book.

I used the Riley Blake Design’s Basic Sparkler Vintage White Sparkle for the background (it matches perfectly!) and I feel the specks of gold adds to the whimsy of the banner. For each letter I used one print to spell out the letter and contrasting print for the binding.

This collection is so sweet and darling. It will add warmth and pep to any project. I can’t wait to see what you make with it!

Happy sewing!
