Sewing Your Oats by Karen Walker
Explore carefree and sentimental farmlands with the new Sewing Your Oats collection by Karen Walker of Laugh Yourself Into Stitches!
‘The Gleaners’ an 1857 painting by Jean-François Millet (a favorite of mine) was the inspiration for the larger fabric print offered in two colorways. Gleaners were rural peasants who were allowed into the fields at sunset to pick one by one, ears of corn or glean the wheat missed by harvesters. I always considered myself a ‘gleaner’ of sorts.
