Always in Season – Popcorn Pouches

Hi friends, Luci from Sea Garden Sewing here! I am here to show you a project that I made with Always in Season by American Jane. This fabric line packs a punch with vivid florals, geometric shapes, and variation in print sizes.

I decided to make the Popcorn Pouch pattern by Amista Baker for this project. In addition to the beautiful fabric, I was able to use four of the 16″ zippers from the Lori Holt Happy Zippers 2 pack. I chose to make the largest of the four sizes in the pattern, yielding a finished pouch size of 12″ x 5″ x 3″.

These pouches ended up much larger than I anticipated! You can fit a lot of goodies in these bags- sewing notions, markers, fidgets, period hygiene supplies, toiletries, and more!

One of my favorite things about Lori Holt’s Happy Zippers is that they have two zipper pulls per zipper. It was a little more difficult to maneuver around two zipper pulls while constructing the pouches, but I think it makes the finished pouch that much better.

A Popcorn Pouch would be a great gift, or a great gift holder! I could definitely see myself making some Christmas-themed pouches and using them as wrapping.
