For the Love of Batiks!
We have been so delighted by the response to our launch of Expressions Batiks and the fabulous collections that have been coming out since then. We know that many of you might be new to Batiks and we have to say, so were we. But, after learning more about the art of how these unique fabric are made and getting to sew with them, we are IN LOVE!
By popular demand we have our resident Batiks expert, Karen Gibbs, hitting the road to visit some select shops and host lectures all about our Expressions Batiks and how they are made.
Karen’s passion for Batiks really shine through and you will love learning the behind-the-scenes processes for batik making. With fabric and quilts to show, not to mention some goodies and giveaways, if you are in the area of one of the shops she’s visiting, we hope to see you there! She has been all around the quilting industry, as an author, a longarmer, a cotton designer, a national instructor but found her niche in batiks. Because batiks are handmade, just like our quilt making processes, they marry so beautifully with our industry.
