Make a Patchy Pumpkins Farm Quilt with Pumpkin Spice -

Hello makers – I bring you all the fall vibes because we’re in August and we’re very much getting ready for the upcoming pumpkin spice season!

This collection by Simple Simon and Company has all the cozy autumnal colourways, evocative of nice walks, with fall foliage and beautiful pumpkins. You can find the full collection and its coordinating basics on the Riley Blake storyboard.

Finding a pumpkin pattern

This collection felt perfect for a classy pumpkin quilt for a baby due in the fall. I wanted to avoid the Halloween theme, and picked instead some of the vibrant prints in this collection to make a crib size quilt.

The pattern is Patchy Pumpkin Farm, by White Plains Quilt. I particularly enjoyed the intricate pumpkin stems, and the mix of pumpkins with sawtooth stars, which give the quilt a really nice look.
