Baby Shower Presents with Thomas & Friends

Hello Makers – I wanted to share with you a super quick project that you can make in a day to gift at a baby shower.

This Thomas & Friends collection has a lovely panel which you can easily turn into a fun play mat for a new baby. I quilted it on my longarm quilting machine with an all over ivy pantograph.

Alongside the quilt, I made a drawstring bag using the tutorial by Jeni Baker. It features some of the prints from the Thomas & Friends collection and the coordinating fabric with the train tracks. The quilt itself fits in this little bag for gifting, and the bag is a useful size for carrying nappies or a change of clothes. It would also make a great bag to store some train toys!
