The Norway Spruce Quilt in Magical Winterland!
Hello again! It’s Karlyn from Charlie Bear Quilts in Canada. Even though it’s nice and warm outside, my next quilt project has me dreaming of snow and Christmas lights…
Magical Winterland Collection
Lisa Audit’s newest collection, Magical Winterland is one of the most nostalgic holiday collections I’ve ever seen! Each print is so detailed, with the most adorable heartwarming scenes to cozy up your home this winter.
I had so much fun with fussy cuts! Lori Holt’s Cute Cuts ruler set is a must for every quilter.
Let’s Make a Norway Spruce Heart Block
This block uses a variety of techniques, including (2) Half Rectangle Triangles, (1) Flying Geese Unit, and diagonal seam allowances (the same way you join binding strips) to form the Norway Spruce tree at the heart’s center. The low volume Snow Snowflake print made the perfect background, adding a little wintery texture to the quilt.
Throw in some fussy-cut stars and snowy quilting and you have a family heirloom that will be a joy to pull out every winter.
After all, quilts ARE the best way to decorate during the holidays
Hosting Christmas this year? Make company feel extra special with a festive quilt to welcome them to your home.
It’s official, the Norway Spruce Quilt will look cute anywhere.
