Bloom Meets Ingleside

Hey hey! It’s Sarah of Sarah Jean Makes and I’m so tickled to share my most recent creation with you!

Have you ever just looked at a collection of fabric and fell IMMEDIATELY in love?
I sure have, and it happened with these Bloom fabrics by Kristy Lea of Quiet Play. Her fabrics are always so full of energy and whimsy and I just knew I had to play with them.

I knew these fabrics would be well suited for one of my most popular quilt patterns: Ingleside Quilt. This quilt is such a fun make (and pre-cut friendly!) and shows off fabrics so well. I opted to use the cool tone fabrics from this collection for my project, along with the main print in the black colorway for the background. They are a perfect contrast of color and print and they play so great together!

This collection also has the most perfect option for binding fabrics in this rainbow stripe pattern. The lines run with the selvage, so width of fabric cuts capture each of the cute details of the colors and tiny designs. It just looks so great along the edge of the quilt! I’m now strategizing ways to use this fabric in more fun projects.
