Let It Bloom in the Patchwork Tote
Hey hey! It’s Sarah of Sarah Jean Makes and I am delighted to share my most recent creation with you today!
The Let It Bloom collection by Little Forest Atelier is the epitome of Spring in fabric form. As soon as I saw the collection, I was immediately drawn to the purple colorway. The little pops of pink, orange, and white in the florals gave great balance and dimension to the fabrics. I knew immediately that these sweet fabrics would be a perfect springtime tote bag for me!
I used my Hella Big Candy Bag free tutorial as the base for the project. The panels are comprised of forty-eight (48) 2.5 inch squares in a 6 x 8 grid with a solid fabric bordering the top and bottom to build out a 16.5 x 22.5 inch panel. All other directions for assembly are on the blog tutorial at www.SarahJeanMakes.com.
This tote has been perfect for carrying around all of my essentials as I go out and about with my family in the city. We often frequent the library and the neighborhood parks, and I love how the fabrics show off a little bit of springtime cheer as we go about our day.
